Troika Dialog Analysts Earn Top Rankings in Extel Pan-Europe 2012 Survey and Institutional Investor All-Russia Research Rankings

Winner of 5 individual analyst categories and 3 categories for Russia at the Extel Pan-Europe 2012 Survey

Research team secures 12 team rankings in II All-Russia Research Rankings, including 5 leadership positions

Troika Dialog, one of the leading investment companies in the CIS, recorded another strong performance by its team of expert analysts in the Russian and Emerging Markets section of the prestigious Thomson Reuters Extel pan-Europe 2012 Survey.

Troika Dialog’s analysts achieved first place in three categories of the Russia Brokerage Firm awards. Analyst teams covering Banking, Metals and Mining and Oil and Gas were all placed first in their categories. Troika Dialog ranked second overall for Russia in the awards and second in Russia Equity Sales. Troika Dialog’s analysts took top spot in the individual awards category in five sectors including Banking, Economics, Metals & Mining, Oil and Gas and Russian Research. In the Leading Russian Research Analyst category, five of Troika Dialog’s individual analysts placed in the top ten overall leading analysts for Russia, with four placing in the top five positions. Mikhail Stiskin also received recognition as a leading Pan-European analyst, attaining second in the Emerging EMEA analyst ratings.

This comes after Troika Dialog’s success at the Institutional Investor All-Russia Analyst rankings for 2012. The bank’s analysts were awarded 12 team rankings, with Troika Dialog named second overall in the All-Russia Research Team rankings. Additionally, Oleg Maximov, Senior Oil & Gas Analysts took first place in the Emerging Markets Equity & Fixed-Income Research Awards 2012. Investors commended Troika Dialog for its research team’s depth of industry knowledge, local market expertise and the quality of service and professionalism offered to both Russian and international investors.

Five of Troika Dialog’s equity research analysts recorded leadership positions in their individual industry or macro fields in the All-Russia Research awards: Evgeny Gavrilenkov in Economics, Alexey Bulgakov was recognised in the Corporate Debt field, Mikhail Stiskin in Metals & Mining, Oleg Maximov in Oil & Gas and Alexander Kotikov in Utilities. In addition, Troika’s analysts covering Industrials, Real Estate and Fixed Income Strategy finished in second place in their respective categories. Weighted by market capitalisation, Troika Dialog achieved the overall top ranking in Russian Equity Research (first place in Russia’s sectors that represent almost 75% of the market) and came second overall in the wider EMEA survey across Fixed Income Research.
