The authoritative US magazine Global Finance has named Troika Dialog Best Bank in Russia for 2005 in three categories:
This is the fourth time that Troika Dialog has won Global Finance awards. In 2004, Troika Dialog was named Best Asset Manager in Russia and also won the award for Best Domestic Debt Research. In 2003, Troika Dialog won the award for Best Secondary Debt House.
Global Finance, one of the US’ leading financial analysis magazines, has been published since 1987. In its annual ratings, the magazine determines the largest and most successful companies around the world. Among the selection criteria used are volume of transactions, competitiveness of bank products and pricing policy, availability, innovative technologies, long-term strategy and corporate governance.
The Global Finance rating is the only one in the world that has separate categories for each segment of the sector. The magazine’s editors – with input from end users, analysts, corporate reports and other expert sources – select the Best Banks on a variety of criteria, both objective and subjective. Factors considered include market leadership, innovation, commitment to markets and evidence of a winning long-term strategy.
The official awards ceremony will take place in London on April 24 as part of the Russian Economic Forum.
“The Russian banking sector continued to show resilience and the ability to innovate and adapt,” says Global Finance publisher Joseph D Giarraputo. “That’s recognized in our awards, for which there were strong competitors in every category. Russia’s banks show every sign of being able to mature and meet coming challenges in financing the country’s companies, consumers and savers.”
Troika Dialog is a leading market-maker on the Russian equity and bonds markets. Troika Dialog’s share of trade turnover on the RTS, MICEX and OTC markets in Russia and ADR/GDR markets in New York, London and Frankfurt is currently 14%. On the RTS, Troika Dialog accounts for 45% of the equity trade turnover and more than 25% of the ruble bond trade. The company’s trade turnover in 2005 almost doubled compared with 2004, to $74 billion.
Troika Dialog was named Best Equities House in Russia by Euromoney magazine in 2004 and by NAUFOR in 2003.
