Sberbank CIB1, the corporate and investment banking business of Sberbank, has taken the first place in five out of six categories of the rating of organisers and underwriters of Russians bonds for the first half of 2018, compiled by Cbonds information agency:
In the overall rating of the organisers of placements of all issues, Sberbank CIB is ranked first, with the following statistics: for the current period Sberbank CIB took part in 39 issues of 21 issuers to a total of RUB 150,452 mln, which is equal to a 20.06% market share. A total of 36 organisers were included in the rating; the total deal amount was RUB 749,921 mln.
Senior Vice President of Sberbank and Head of Sberbank CIB Igor Bulantsev commented: “Providing services to Russian clients on the debt markets is one of the priorities of our activity, and we intend to hold the leading position, especially in the Russian bonds segment.”
Cbonds’ rating of bond underwriters includes financial organisations that have given guarantees on placement of a certain volume of issues and have the status of organiser, co-organiser, underwriter or co-underwriter. The rating takes into account the actual volume of placed bonds.
